JAKARTA - The Chairman of DPR RI Commission XI and General Chairman of the Indonesian Self-Reliant Workers’ Central Organisation (SOKSI), Mukhamad Misbakhun, views the corporate actions of Danantara towards online motorcycle taxi (ojol) applicators as capable of strengthening the economy of ojol drivers.

“Corporate actions through Danantara in managing Gojek shares, which aim to improve the welfare of partner drivers,” explained Mukhamad Misbakhun, at the Golkar Party DPP Building, West Jakarta, on Monday (4/5/2026).

“The drivers’ income share increases from around 80 percent to 92 percent. This is a strategic step that provides direct economic impact to the community,” said Misbakhun.

Misbakhun stressed that SOKSI has the duty to oversee so that the policy can truly be implemented and provide real impact for the working community.

“Our task is to oversee so that the policy can be implemented,” he stated.

In addition, SOKSI also highlighted the government’s policy of maintaining prices for subsidised fuel oil (BBM).

According to Misbakhun, this policy is important to maintain people’s purchasing power and national economic stability.

“This policy is very important to protect small communities from energy price fluctuations and to maintain national economic growth,” he said.

The policy is seen as part of efforts to strengthen social protection for the community.

Previously, the DPR reported that the government has purchased part of the applicator’s shares via Danantara, Indonesia’s red-plate institution.

“The government through Danantara has entered the applicator, taking part of the shares,” said Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the DPR Building, Jakarta, on Friday (1/5/2026).

On International Labour Day 2029 last week, President Prabowo stated that he has issued a Presidential Regulation on ojol which regulates the maximum deduction by applicators from ojol drivers’ gross income at 8 percent, not 20 percent.
