DPR Commission XI Approves Proposed Rp70.55 Billion Budget Increase for LKPP

The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Commission XI has approved the proposal by the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) for an additional budget of Rp70.55 billion within the 2027 Draft State Budget (RAPBN).

The Chairman of Commission XI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, stated that the additional budget consists of Rp54.05 billion for national goods/services procurement and Rp16.5 billion for management support.

“Commission XI of the DPR RI supports and approves the LKPP’s proposal to request an additional budget for 2027 amounting to Rp70,548,865,000,” Misbakhun said during a hearing with the BPKP, BPK, and LKPP in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Previously, the approved budget ceiling for the LKPP for 2027 was set at Rp295.80 billion. This ceiling comprised Rp127.99 billion for national goods/services procurement and Rp167.81 billion for management support.

With the approved additional budget, the total budget for the LKPP in 2027 will rise to approximately Rp366.35 billion.

The Head of LKPP, Sarah Sadiqa, explained that the agency’s policies and programmes for 2027 are directed towards strengthening and sharpening government goods/services procurement (PBJP) policies, fostering procurement institutions, providing procurement implementation assistance, and improving institutional governance.

“We hope that the members of the Commission can provide support and approve the budget increase of Rp70.55 billion as we have presented, with the hope that this proposal can be accommodated,” said Sarah.
