DPR Commission III Visits National Police Chief General Suyudi
The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III visited the residence of the National Police Chief, General Suyudi Ario Seto. This visit follows a tradition maintained by Commission III during every transition of the National Police Chief.
“Yes, it is true that Commission III visited the National Police Chief’s residence. This is a tradition we continue to uphold with every change in leadership at the National Police,” stated the Chairman of Commission III, Habiburokhman, to reporters on Saturday (3/10/2026).
Habiburokhman noted that General Suyudi introduced his family members to the members of Commission III. During the visit, General Suyudi also reaffirmed his proposed ‘police as friends of the community’ concept.
“On this occasion, the National Police Chief introduced his family. Furthermore, the Chief reaffirmed his commitment to maximising the ‘police as friends of the community’ concept,” he said.
During the meeting, all members of Commission III expressed their support for General Suyudi in reforming the institution. However, some members of Parliament also raised several grievances to the General.
“Some also expressed complaints regarding the arrogance of certain police officials and requested that this issue be addressed,” he added.
