The House of Representatives Commission III will hold a Public Hearing (RDPU) on the case of influencer-turned-restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien, who has been named a suspect in a theft reported at her own restaurant. Nabilah is expected to attend the hearing in person.

The hearing is planned for Monday (9 March). Nabilah is known as the restaurant owner who reported the alleged theft at her restaurant. However, Nabilah says she has, in fact, been named a suspect in the case.

“House of Representatives Commission III will hold a Public Hearing (RDPU) on the case of restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien on Monday (9 March) who claims to be a victim of theft but who has been named a suspect,” said Habiburokhman, Chair of DPR Commission III, to reporters on Friday (6 March 2026).

“We will invite Nabilah O’Brien together with her legal counsel and the relevant law enforcement officials,” he added.

Habiburokhman said the meeting is part of the Commission’s mandate to oversee the work of law enforcement agencies.

“We are optimistic the meeting will yield positive results in that no citizen will be criminalised,” he said.

About the Alleged Theft

Nabilah is known to have reported a husband-and-wife duo initials ZK and ESR because they allegedly took away 14 orders of food and drinks from a restaurant in the Kemang, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta area. She reported the couple after their lack of response to her outreach.

Nabilah’s report is registered under LP/B/048/IX/2025/SPKT/Polsek Mampang/Polres Metro Jaksel/Polda Metro Jaya. It is known that the incident occurred on Thursday (19/9). The alleged theft was captured on CCTV and the video went viral on social media.

The incident began when the couple visited Nabilah’s restaurant. They then ordered 11 meals and three beverages worth a total of Rp530,150.

The couple felt their order was taking too long. They then deliberately entered the kitchen to take the meals they had ordered.

The couple then left the restaurant without paying for the meals and beverages.

More recently, Nabilah posted a video and a caption in which she states she is the victim of theft but is being treated as a suspect. In the video, Nabilah asks for justice from the DPR Commission III.

“I am a victim of theft, who is instead being criminalised and sued for Rp1 billion,” read one of Nabila’s posts on Instagram.
