Jakarta — KOMPAS.com - Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) plans to summon influencer and restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien at a Public Hearing (RDPU) on Monday, 9 March 2026 to discuss her legal controversy.

Chairman Habiburokhman said the meeting would address Nabilah’s case in which she claims to have been a victim of theft but has been named a suspect.

“We will hold a Public Hearing (RDPU) in the case of the restaurant owner Nabilah O’Brien on Monday, who claims to be a victim of theft but has been turned into a suspect,” Habiburokhman said in a formal statement on Friday, 6 March 2026.

“We will invite Nabilah together with her legal counsel and the relevant law enforcement authorities,” he added.

According to Habiburokhman, the meeting forms part of Commission III’s oversight function over the performance of law enforcement agencies.

“The meeting is being held as part of the Commission’s duties to supervise the work of the law enforcement authorities,” he said.

“We are optimistic the meeting will yield a positive outcome in the sense that no citizen will be criminalised,” he concluded.

Earlier reports noted that influencer Nabilah O’Brien cried after being named a suspect in a case under the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (ITE Act) related to defamation.

She was reported to the Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency by guitarist Zendhy Kusuma. The designation of a suspect against Nabilah was carried out by the Cyber Crime Directorate (Dittipidsiber) of Bareskrim Polri on 28 February 2026.

In a press conference in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Friday, 6 March 2026, Nabilah questioned the report lodged against her.

“First point, for Mr Z and Mrs E, I want to ask you directly, where is your conscience? You came to my place, took 14 of our food and beverage products without paying a single penny,” she said.

“Not only that, you insult my staff, entered my kitchen area, shouted at and abused my staff who are trying to earn a living,” Nabilah added.
