DPR Commission III Forms Working Committee to Oversee Corruption Case Involving Former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah

The House of Representatives’ (DPR) Commission III, led by Chairman Habiburokhman, has unanimously agreed to form a working committee (panja) to oversee the handling of an alleged corruption case involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. The agreement was reached during a special meeting at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, 11 July 2026. Habiburokhman stated that Commission III is fully committed to ensuring the case is handled thoroughly and with legal certainty by establishing a supervisory team or working committee. He explained that the panja will monitor all stages of the case, including examinations, searches, and the potential naming of other suspects. The oversight is expected to encourage law enforcement officials to work more optimally while maintaining transparency throughout the legal process. Habiburokhman also assured that the panja will carry out its duties openly, allowing the public to monitor the DPR’s supervisory process. Previously, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin received Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation letter. The Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated that the resignation demonstrated a commitment to maintaining integrity, objectivity, and neutrality in law enforcement, and was related to an ongoing legal process handled by National Police investigators. Anang affirmed that the Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures all duties and case handling within the Jampidsus continue according to mechanism. Earlier, Febrie Adriansyah provided an explanation regarding the discovery of cash and gold bars during a search by a joint team from the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Regional Police at a house in the Sentul area, Bogor Regency, West Java. At a press conference at the Jampidsus Building in Jakarta on Friday, 10 July 2026, Febrie acknowledged that the searched house was his personal property.
