DPR Commission III Deputy Chair Calls for Deportation of Brunei National's Killer Woodyrman

Deputy Chair of the House of Representatives’ Commission III, Ahmad Sahroni, has called for the deportation and blacklisting of social media influencer Woodyrman, identified as Mohamad Irman Ali, 33, following his assault on Brunei national MHF, 30, which resulted in death. Sahroni urged immediate deportation to expedite legal proceedings in Brunei, stating both parties are foreign nationals. ‘As both the perpetrator and victim are foreign nationals, he should be deported immediately so legal proceedings can take place in the relevant country,’ Sahroni stated when contacted on Friday, 29 May 2026. As treasurer of NasDem Party’s central executive board, he added: ‘He must be blacklisted and banned from entering Indonesia due to committing murder abroad. Proceeding with the case in Indonesia would take considerable time and require coordination with Brunei, so deportation is the swiftest solution.’ The incident occurred in Blok M, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, 6 May at 3:30 am WIB, following a verbal altercation between two foreign nationals. A video circulating online showed the victim and perpetrator exchanging words. The argument continued despite attempts by bystanders to intervene, with Woodyrman striking MHF with a glass bottle, causing him to fall. MHF was rushed to hospital but later died at RSPP on Saturday, 16 May after treatment.
