DPR Commission III Chair Mourns Aipda Yudhi, Killed During Drug Raid in Central Kalimantan

Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Commission III, Habiburokhman, has expressed his grief over the death of Aipda Yudhi Perdana Putra, who was killed while raiding a drug trafficking operation in Katingan, Central Kalimantan. Commission III has demanded a thorough investigation into all those involved in the drug network and the subsequent clash.

“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. As Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives and all its members, I express my deepest condolences for the loss of Aipda Yudhi Perdana Putra, Unit Head of the Katingan Police Narcotics Unit, who fell while carrying out his duties during a raid on a drug trafficking ring in Katingan, Central Kalimantan,” Habiburokhman told reporters on Friday (3/7/2026).

Habiburokhman stated that Aipda Yudhi died a martyr as he was on duty to eradicate drugs. He offered his best prayers for the family Aipda Yudhi left behind.

“The deceased was a true guardian of the nation. God willing, he died a martyr, as he fell in a noble line of duty to save the nation’s future generations from the latent danger of drugs. May his family be granted patience and strength by Allah SWT,” he said.

In response to this tragic incident, Commission III has urged National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and all ranks of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police to hunt down and take firm action against the perpetrators involved.

“Give no room whatsoever to drug traffickers. We also urge that the two police officers reported missing be found immediately and safely. Pursue the perpetrators until they are caught; the law must be enforced to the fullest extent,” he added.

The anti-narcotics operation, which was conducted in Tumbang Kalemei Village, Katingan, turned into a bloody tragedy. A member of the Katingan Police Narcotics Unit was killed, while two other personnel remain missing after the police team was attacked and chased by an armed mob.

Katingan Police Chief AKBP Dodik Hartono confirmed that the fallen officer was Aipda Yudhi Perdana Putra. The two officers still missing are Aiptu Sumariyanto and Bripda Nopandri Ramadhana.

“The deceased member is Aipda Y. Meanwhile, the other two members, Aiptu S and Bripda N, are still in the process of being searched for by the joint team,” said Dodik Hartono.
