The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has agreed upon seven candidates to serve as members of the Central Information Commission (KIP) for the 2026-2030 term. The decision was made during the 22nd Plenary Session of the 2025-2026 Session Year on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

Deputy Chair of Commission I DPR, Dave Laksono, presented the results of the fit and proper test for the 19 candidates proposed by the President. He stated that the tests were conducted on 24-25 June 2026. “The fit and proper test process for KIP candidates proceeded smoothly according to the established schedule and was conducted openly. Each candidate presented their work plan, which was followed by an in-depth question and answer session,” Dave explained.

He noted that Commission I held a closed internal meeting on 25 June 2026 to select the seven members. The decision was reached through deliberation. Responding to the report, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani sought approval from the plenary session participants. “We ask this honourable house, regarding the report of Commission I on the results of the fit and proper test which decided on seven candidates for KIP members for the 2026-2030 period and three alternate candidates, can this be approved?” Puan asked, to which the members responded with agreement.

The seven approved KIP members for the 2026-2030 period are: 1. Handoko Agung Saputro, 2. Hafidhah, 3. Arman Fauzi, 4. Dery Hendryan, 5. Edi Purwanto, 6. Joemarthine Chandra, and 7. Rini Purwandari. The three approved alternate candidates are: 1. Hendra, 2. Andri Harsil, and 3. Mimim Susanti.
