Fifteen Draft Laws concerning Regencies/Cities have been agreed upon as House of Representatives (DPR) initiative proposals. The decision was taken during a DPR plenary session.

The plenary session was held at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (30/6/2026). DPR Speaker Puan Maharani chaired the meeting.

Initially, Puan requested the opinions of the factions regarding the 15 Regency/City bills. The factions’ opinions were then submitted in writing.

“We request the approval of the plenary session to agree, and whether it can be agreed that the factions’ opinions are submitted in writing to the council leadership, can it be approved?” asked Puan.

“Agreed,” answered the attending members.

Subsequently, Puan asked for the approval of the attending members regarding the bills becoming DPR initiative proposals. The council members approved it.

“Can the 15 DPR RI Commission II initiative bills concerning Regencies/Cities in the Provinces of West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan, as I mentioned at the beginning of this plenary session, be approved as DPR RI initiative bills?” asked Puan.
