DPR Appreciates Prabowo's 8 Priority Programmes in 2027 Draft Budget: Pro-People
The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has expressed appreciation for the eight National Priority Work Programmes (PKPN) presented by President Prabowo Subianto in the 2027 Draft State Budget (RAPBN). Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated that the programmes are pro-people and solely for the interests of the nation and state. “Yes, especially in this afternoon’s session. We appreciate the President who today announced eight policies, which we have all heard are pro-people and solely for the interests of the nation and state,” Dasco said at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (14/8/2026). Dasco noted that all DPR members appreciated the programmes, and the President requested support from the DPR and the public for them. “We saw that all members appreciated it, and the President requested support from the House of Representatives and all Indonesian people to support the eight programmes that were presented,” Dasco said. Previously, President Prabowo Subianto outlined a 2027 State Budget (APBN) of IDR 4,097.2 trillion, an increase from the 2026 APBN of IDR 3,842.7 trillion. The budget will be used to implement the eight PKPN, which include food sovereignty; energy and water independence; education; health; downstreaming and industrialisation; infrastructure, housing, and disaster resilience; strengthening the people’s economy and village development; and poverty reduction.
