DPR and Ministers to Finalise Ride-Hailing Perpres Next Week

Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad has revealed the substance of a meeting with several ministers at the House of Representatives. They discussed the implementation of the 8 per cent fare cut for online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers as well as aspirations regarding the Ojol Presidential Regulation.

“Yes, today we held another coordination meeting to perfect the presidential regulation on ojol, which, thank God, is nearly final. We have also heard from the National Ojol Coalition and received their input on how the fares have run since the 92-8 per cent arrangement was enforced, and its evaluation,” said Dasco after the meeting with the ministers at the DPR, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7/2026).

Dasco said his side and the government would convene another meeting on the Ojol Presidential Regulation, which is still being prepared. The meeting is planned for next week.

“So, earlier we agreed that the team will meet once more for the finalisation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi said Thursday’s meeting served as an evaluation of the implementation of the 8 per cent cut for ojol. He said the cut had been in force since 1 July 2026.

“What matters is that the President’s instruction on the 92 per cent and 8 per cent fare split has genuinely been implemented on the ground. The friends from the National Ojol Coalition also conveyed earlier that it has been applied as of 1 July,” he said.

Prasetyo confirmed that next week his side would meet again with the DPR to finalise the Ojol Presidential Regulation. “Yes, not yet — we will schedule it. Next week, next week,” he added.
