DPR and Government Schedule Finalisation Meeting for Ride-Hailing Presidential Regulation Next Week
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) for Political and Security Affairs, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, announced that the DPR and the government will schedule one more coordination meeting to finalise the Presidential Regulation on online motorcycle taxis. “Alhamdulillah, it is almost final. One more meeting next week,” Dasco said at the Parliament Complex on Thursday, 23 July 2026. He noted that the discussion has now entered the finalisation phase.
Regarding the points of discussion, Dasco stated that both the DPR and the government have heard the aspirations conveyed by the National Ojol Coalition concerning the 92:8 tariff scheme policy. “The implementation is running, and that is the evaluation,” said the Gerindra Party executive.
On the same occasion, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the most important part of the coordination meeting was the 92:8 tariff scheme policy, which, by order of the president, has been implemented on the ground. According to information from the National Ojol Coalition, the policy has been in effect since 1 July 2026, even though the regulation has not yet been issued by the government. “Other inputs? There are some realisations in the field that need to be improved and perfected. That will be the material for perfecting the contents of the Presidential Regulation,” Prasetyo stated.
The coordination meeting was led by Deputy Speaker Dasco, accompanied by Deputy Speaker for Economic and Financial Affairs Sari Yuliati. Government officials in attendance included Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas and his deputy Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria, Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurahman, and Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria. The meeting discussed various aspects, including strengthening protections for online motorcycle taxi partners, ensuring partnership certainty, business climate sustainability, and cross-ministerial coordination in policy realisation.
