DPP clarifies
Thank you for the report on the delegation of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Jakarta on Sept. 20. We understand the limited time on Saturday (Sept. 25) did not allow a more comprehensive interview between us, and we apologize for that.
There is something, however, that we'd like to clarify. For example, according to your report "Huai-hui and 11 other party colleagues are in Indonesia to monitor the presidential election. Their four-day visit, which began on Sept. 15 was sponsored by the Taipei Economic and Trade Office and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation."
We'll need to clarify these two lines. The DPP's trip to Jakarta was assisted by the TETO&FNF, not sponsored. We'd like the wording to be more precise to avoid future confusion.
Lastly, on behalf of the delegates, we thank you for reporting on our visit to Jakarta and hope the election will turn out to be a successful one.
