The most important message is unity, said Sultan.

He explained that the pledge of the regions to unite was the main asset of the Indonesian nation in achieving independence.

According to Sultan, this asset of unity must be maintained to build the country amid the various shocks that always arise.

He said the public should be grateful that national economic growth has remained at five percent amid global uncertainty.

On the other hand, Sultan called on the public to show empathy and sympathy to residents affected by natural disasters in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

He reminded that Indonesia’s geographical position in the ring of fire makes various regions vulnerable to natural disasters.

Sultan appreciated the move by President Prabowo Subianto, who led a joint prayer for disaster victims in Sumatra and NTT during the moment of silence.

He assessed that the government has responded quickly to the disaster emergency on the ground. Sultan stressed that disaster-affected regions require greater attention from the government, including in terms of budget allocation.
