Dozens of Vehicles Receive Stickers for Illegal Parking in Denpasar
The Denpasar City Transportation Agency (Dishub) cracked down on vehicles parked haphazardly along Jalan Kamboja and Jalan Gajah Mada in Denpasar on Wednesday (29/4/2026). At both locations, officers affixed stickers to 22 violating vehicles. “The stickers are attached as a form of warning for the violations we found,” stated the Head of Denpasar City Dishub, I Ketut Sriawan, in a press release received by detikBali. “The enforcement is carried out to increase public awareness in complying with driving regulations. We targeted those two road sections because of reports from the community,” he added. Sriawan detailed that in the routine activity conducted together with Denpasar Traffic Police (Satlantas), 12 vehicles were checked on Jalan Kamboja, with stickers applied to 10 offending cars. Meanwhile, on Jalan Gajah Mada, the joint team inspected 15 vehicles, reprimanding 12 car drivers. There were also three six-wheeled vehicles, three cars, and nine motorcycles reprimanded by affixing violation stickers. In total, 42 vehicles were inspected by officers today. Sriawan revealed that community reports indicated violations, including parking on Jalan Kamboja and Jalan Gajah Mada in Denpasar, which disrupted the flow of other passing vehicles. Meanwhile, Denpasar Satlantas issued traffic tickets to three violating trucks for not being orderly in traffic and secured two vehicle registration certificates (STNK) and one B1 driving licence (SIM B1). “This activity is carried out routinely so that violations can be anticipated and traffic flow is not disrupted by these violations,” Sriawan concluded.
