Dozens of Unroadworthy Minibuses Caught in Bogor Raid, Issued Traffic Violations
The Bogor City Transport Department (Dishub) conducted a roadside inspection targeting urban minibuses (angkot) on Jalan Juanda in Bogor City. The operation resulted in 54 minibus units from Bogor City and Bogor Regency being caught and issued traffic violation fines.
“The activity was carried out from early morning, with approximately 54 minibus units caught,” said Sujatmiko Baliarto, Head of Bogor City Transport Department, on Thursday (27 February 2026).
Sujatmiko stated that the inspection was a follow-up to an integrated meeting with the West Java Provincial Government and local police in Bogor. The inspection targeted urban transport vehicles and inter-city public transport (AKDP) minibuses from Bogor City and Bogor Regency operating within Bogor City’s jurisdiction.
“Starting today and going forward, Bogor City Government is committed to ensuring that all urban minibuses and inter-city transport vehicles operating within Bogor City’s jurisdiction meet technical requirements, administrative standards, and are roadworthy,” Sujatmiko stated.
“This will continue as an initial step towards organising urban transport and AKDP services operating in Bogor City,” he added.
Sujatmiko noted that all 54 minibus units caught in the inspection were immediately issued traffic violation fines. Vehicles deemed unroadworthy and lacking required documentation were directly impounded at the Bogor City Transport Department office.
“For those not meeting technical and administrative requirements, we will issue fines today, and this evening we will hand over cases directly to the Prosecutor’s Office. This will happen every day—we will continue issuing fines,” Sujatmiko said.
“If vehicles do not meet requirements and lack all necessary documents, we will simply impound them,” he added.
