Dozens of Officials' Names Circulate in Alleged MBG Corruption Case, Lawyer Says Details Submitted in Investigation Report
A viral post on social media has circulated a list of 20 senior figures allegedly involved in a corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. The information was shared on a Threads account, with a caption suggesting hope that the leaked names involved in the MBG corruption are true. The post listed individuals including the recently inaugurated Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik S Deyang. Other names mentioned include the Chairman of the East Java and Central Java Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), members of Commission IX and Commission III of the House of Representatives, a Deputy from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Chief of the Purwakarta District Attorney’s Office, the Bekasi Police Chief, and various other officials. Responding to the circulation, Sony Sonjaya’s legal counsel, Elza Syarief, stated that the list actually contains more than 26 names and is currently for legal purposes. Elza confirmed that the names, which her client intends to disclose, have already been detailed in the official investigation report (BAP).
