Dozens of hoodlums netted in Jambi
JAMBI: Dozens of hoodlums were netted in a joint operation conducted by local security authorities to clamp down on crime and drug abuse.
Jambi Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Allorante told Antara here on Saturday that the hoodlums were netted in a housing complex, which was home to about 160 prostitutes.
"The housing complex was considered a safe haven for criminals," he said.
Using two specially-trained dogs to sniff illegal drugs, the security personnel also confiscated unlicensed motorbikes, drugs and ten crates of liquor.
Allorante said that he had ordered his men to shoot criminals who resisted police arrest. --Antara
