Dozens of Electronic Devices Stolen from State Primary School in Cibinong, Bogor
Dozens of electronic devices have been stolen from a state primary school (SDN) in Cibinong subdistrict, Bogor regency, West Java. The items were taken from the computer laboratory, the headmaster's office, the staff room, and the kitchen.
"From the headmaster's office, one sound system unit, one projector, one printer, and one loudspeaker were taken," said Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit chief AKP Anggi Eko Prasetyo on Friday (20 February 2026).
He added that in the computer laboratory, the perpetrators stole 24 desktop computer units. In addition, they made off with 60 tablets and two loudspeaker units.
Meanwhile, from the school kitchen, the perpetrators took a 3-kilogramme gas canister and a rice cooker. From the staff room, they stole one projector unit and one television set.
"Evidence recovered includes a pair of door bolts, one padlock, one padlock cover, broken padlock fragments, one kitchen knife and cutter, a hammer head, and padlock shards," he explained.
The burglary at SDN Karadenan 01 in Cibinong, Bogor, had previously gone viral on social media. Dozens of electronic devices, from computers to tablets, were spirited away by the perpetrators.
The incident is reported to have occurred in the early hours of Monday, 16 February. In a circulating video, it was narrated that 24 computer units had gone missing.
In addition to the computers, the other missing devices included 60 tablets, a television, loudspeakers, projectors, a rice cooker, and a 3-kilogramme LPG canister.
When contacted separately, Cibinong sector police chief Kompol Jony Handoko said his office was investigating the incident. The police are currently waiting for the school to file a formal report.
"It is still under investigation. We are waiting for the headmaster to file a report," said Jony.
