Dozens of Brimob Personnel Tightly Guard Office Building in Hayam Wuruk, What's Going On?

Personnel from the Indonesian National Police’s Mobile Brigade (Brimob) are still conducting tight security at one of the office building complexes on Jalan Hayam Wuruk in West Jakarta. The guarding continues until this morning. It is known that Brimob personnel were deployed since late Friday (8/5). Citing detikcom, on Saturday (9/5) around 08:00 WIB, dozens of Brimob members were still lined up in front of the building. They are on alert facing the entrance door of a glass-fronted building. On the other hand, two personnel equipped with tactical gear such as helmets, bulletproof vests, masks, and long-barrelled weapons are guarding in front of the building’s entrance. There are also building security officers dressed in black on standby at the location. Occasionally, residents can still be seen passing by the area. They appear confused by the tight security but continue walking. Meanwhile, in the office building area guarded by Brimob personnel, activity appears minimal. From outside, only rows of chairs and a microphone with barrier lines can be seen in the building’s lobby area. This layered security guarding is strongly suspected to be related to law enforcement actions against a major case currently being handled by the police.
