Double take for Martina Navratilova

MANILA: There was a buzz of excitement as spectators checked
out the program of bouts in tae kwon do.

Representing Indonesia was none other than Martina
Navratilova. But those expecting an appearance by the outspoken
Czech-born, evergreen tennis star -- still playing doubles on the
women's tour at the age of 49 -- were to be disappointed, Antara
news service reported.

For this black-haired, dark-skinned namesake -- named in honor
of the tennis great when the latter was at the height of her
career in the 1980s -- only laughed when people came up to her
and asked her where was the "real" Martina.

The featherweight failed to win her first bout on Tuesday,
losing to Thailand's Kanyarat Mathurakarn -- JP.
