Double Day 5.5: Blibli Offers Discounts Up to 55 Percent, Encouraging More Convenient Shopping
Changes in consumer behaviour are prompting e-commerce players to adjust their business strategies. Consumers now consider not only price but also value and convenience in meeting their needs.
The Jakpat Consumer & Commerce Outlook 2026 research notes the emergence of rational data-driven shoppers, who verify value more rigorously before transacting.
The same research highlights the fragmentation of shopping channels, which makes consumers tend to tire of switching platforms to meet different needs.
Companies are promoting the fulfilment of various needs within one integrated platform aligned with consumers’ lifestyles.
One strategy implemented is through the Double Day 5.5 programme, which took place on Tuesday (5/5/2026). This twin-date promotional programme is designed as a limited-time shopping momentum with various promotional schemes.
In the programme, Blibli presents a number of offers, including the Mega Flash Sale with discounts up to 55 percent at 10:00 and 16:00 WIB. Additionally, Voucher Rush Hour offers up to 50 percent at 13:00, 15:00, 17:00, and 19:00 WIB.
Blibli’s Head of Campaign, Indra Perdana, said the campaign was designed to meet increasingly targeted consumer shopping needs.
“We see the trend of customers moving towards smart shopping, where they not only seek the best prices but also the ease of fulfilling needs within one ecosystem and certainty in transactions,” Indra said in a press release on Monday (4/5/2026).
“Through Double Day 5.5, Blibli wants to provide a more seamless shopping experience, so customers can meet various needs at one time without hassle,” he added.
This reflects the platform’s efforts to accommodate cross-category needs in a single transaction.
On the other hand, ecosystem strengthening is also carried out through an omnichannel approach. PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (BELI), Blibli’s parent company, integrates e-commerce services with a physical store network, click and collect solutions, and logistics support through internal services and third-party partners.
This ecosystem is expanded through several corporate actions, such as the acquisition of the online travel platform tiket.com, retail manager Ranch Market, and interior design company Dekoruma.
In addition, the company is developing an integrated loyalty programme to connect various services within that ecosystem.
These efforts are part of a strategy to increase comfort and customer engagement amid increasingly tight e-commerce industry competition.
