Doors Failed to Open at Pondok Cina Station, KRL Delayed for 6 Minutes

The KRL Commuter Line briefly ceased operations while passing through Pondok Cina Station due to a door malfunction.

“A disturbance occurred with the doors of train KA1378 at Pondok Cina Station at 18:55 WIB,” said Karina Amanda, VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, when contacted on Tuesday (22/09/2026).

The KRL was halted for six minutes. It resumed operation after the malfunction was addressed by technicians.

“The disturbance was immediately handled by our technicians, and by 19:01, train KA1378 was able to depart from Pondok Cina Station again,” she stated.

She expressed an apology for the disruption.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” she added.

From videos circulating on social media, the KRL doors appeared stuck. The train was seen in a stationary position.

A technician was observed attempting to open the doors, which eventually opened with their assistance.
