Dony Oskaria Intervenes, Himbara Deployed to Rescue Restructuring of Two State-Owned Construction Firms
The State-Owned Enterprise Supervisory Board (BP BUMN) is accelerating restructuring measures for two state-owned companies in the construction sector, namely PT PP (Persero) Tbk and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. The effort involves the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) to support the financing of the two companies’ transformation.
Head of BP BUMN Dony Oskaria stated that the ongoing restructuring must become a crucial momentum to strengthen the business foundations of state-owned construction firms so they can grow healthily and sustainably. According to Dony, previous restructuring experiences serve as valuable lessons, ensuring the current process not only focuses on resolving financial issues but also on building better corporate governance.
“We learn from experience. This restructuring must be a turning point to build stronger, healthier state-owned construction firms with better governance so they can grow sustainably and support national development,” Dony said in his statement on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
As part of the transformation process, BP BUMN invited banks under Himbara to support the restructuring of PT PP and PT Adhi Karya. During the discussions, Dony led a meeting with the boards of directors of Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, PT PP (Persero) Tbk, and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. The meeting discussed the progress of the ongoing restructuring, including the formulation of a financing scheme from Himbara to support the transformation of both companies.
The government considers support from the banking sector to be a critical factor in ensuring the restructuring process meets its targets while strengthening the companies’ financial conditions. In the discussions, the formulation of the financing scheme was a primary focus. BP BUMN emphasised that financing support will be directed only towards productive projects that have business feasibility and generate measurable cash flow. With this approach, the financing is expected not only to help improve the companies’ financial conditions but also to maintain long-term business sustainability. The restructuring is also designed to enhance business discipline so that every funding provided is genuinely used for projects that add value to the company.
