Dony Oskaria Inspects Bekasi Train Collision Site, Expresses Condolences and Apologies
Dony Oskaria, Head of BP BUMN, directly inspected the site of the train accident disaster in East Bekasi, West Java Province, in the early hours of Tuesday (28/4/2026). As quoted from a press release, Dony arrived at the incident location around 00:00 WIB.
“On behalf of myself, the government, BP BUMN, and Danantara, we extend our deepest condolences and most sincere apologies for the disaster that occurred,” Dony stated.
Dony emphasised that President Prabowo Subianto’s instructions are clear: public safety is the highest law. Currently, all efforts are being directed to ensure that medical services for the victims proceed swiftly and accurately.
“Our primary focus at this time is not only on restoring operations on the line but ensuring that every affected individual receives the fastest and best handling,” Dony said.
During the inspection, Dony, along with Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, also engaged in discussions with field personnel to ensure the evacuation process. Concluding his remarks at the disaster site, Dony expressed apologies and concern.
“Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience and this disaster. Safety and public trust are absolute priorities that cannot be compromised,” Dony stated before continuing coordination with the KAI technical team on site.
