Dony Oskaria Affirms SOEs' Commitment to Succeeding Prabowo's Government Programmes
Jakarta, VIVA – The Head of the SOE Agency, Dony Oskaria, outlined the major direction of SOE transformation while affirming the strategic role of SOEs as part of the government.
Dony reminded that all SOE personnel are part of the state apparatus responsible for implementing and communicating state policies.
“I want to remind everyone in this room of one thing on this good occasion: we are all state employees; we are part of the government,” Dony stated in a video clip from an event at Pertamina this week.
Dony said that amid emerging negative sentiments against the government from certain quarters, SOEs must be at the forefront in providing comprehensive explanations. Dony stressed that the policies implemented by the government have a clear rationale and long-term goals for the nation.
“As part of the government, I truly hope that all SOE personnel can provide clarifications and explain why the government is implementing these policies,” he asserted.
Dony also expressed his confidence in the direction of leadership under President Prabowo Subianto in carrying out national economic transformation. According to him, it is impossible for the government to take policies that harm the people, given the commitment and dedication demonstrated.
“It is impossible for a government, especially one led by President Prabowo, who is willing to sacrifice his life for the country, to do something harmful,” Dony said.
Furthermore, Dony explained that various current economic policies aim to drive transformation from superficial economic growth to fundamental and equitable growth.
The government wants to ensure that economic growth is truly enjoyed by all Indonesians through strengthening food security, energy, and human resources as the main pillars of national development.
According to Dony, understanding the rationale behind policies is key to avoiding misunderstandings in the public sphere.
“If we understand the thinking behind it, why it is done, we will know that it is indeed necessary to create a brighter future for our nation,” he said.
He affirmed that SOEs must play an active role as a communication bridge between the government and society. This is to ensure that the implemented economic policies are fully understood as real efforts to strengthen economic sovereignty and improve the welfare of the Indonesian people.
