Don't hesitate to resign

President Abdurrahman Wahid's statement made before the press
following the announcement of the lineup of the "National Unity"
Cabinet came as a surprise because it is very close to the
people's conscience. The institution of Negara Palace is no
longer a sacred place that is to be feared.

When asked about the possible strong reaction and criticism
against his newly formed cabinet, the President responded in a
challenging way, saying "I am hoping that those who are used to
criticizing me do not stop criticizing, even though they have
been appointed ministers in my Cabinet".

I, for one, in the name of democracy, appeal to those who fail
to accomplish the missions entrusted to them to resign and always
adhere to the principle of feeling ashamed to fail.
