Don't dial 555 just yet

JAKARTA (JP): Due to an upgrading of primary cables, telephone
lines beginning with 555 in several areas within West Jakarta,
including Taman Badara and Taman Dapad Indah housing complexes,
Jl. Prancis, Griya Dadap Estate and Desa Dadap, will be
disrupted.

The West Jakarta telephone office announced earlier this week
that the telephone networks in these areas are being
computerized.

The office said that upgrading of primary cables is intended
to improve the quality of phone lines.(bas)
