Dongsuh operates here
JAKARTA (JP): PT Dongsuh Kolibindo Securities, a Korean- Indonesian joint venture, said that it has been granted a license by the Capital Market Supervisory Agency (Bapepam) to operate in Indonesia.
The company is a joint venture between Dongsuh Securities Co. Ltd., a major Korean securities company established in 1953, and PT Kobilindo owned by the Enseval Group, which is registered on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX).
The joint venture said Saturday that with the Bapepam license, which was obtained on April 17, it is now authorized to provide financial analysis and guidance to Indonesian companies and individual investors.
"We believe that the stock market cannot be developed without active participation of individual investors. Therefore, we will give priority to the expansion of the domestic investor base," the company announced.
The company also said that it has set up an investor gallery at the Graha Irama Building in Jakarta to help investors with real time information about stock price movements on the JSX.
The gallery was officially opened last Friday by Bapepam's Chairman I Putu Gede Ary Suta. (08)
