Donggala (ANTARA) — The Donggala Resort Police (Polres) under the Central Sulawesi Regional Police have dismissed three of their officers in a Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH) ceremony.

“This dishonourable discharge is a final decision that has gone through a lengthy process, including hearings and careful deliberation,” said Donggala Deputy Police Chief Kompol Sulardi during the PTDH ceremony at the Donggala Police headquarters on Monday.

The three Donggala Police officers were found to have violated police discipline and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) code of ethics. They are Brigpol A, Brigpol J, and Briptu I.

Sulardi affirmed that the three personnel had been deemed no longer fit to hold the status of Polri members.

He stressed that this decisive action reflects the institution’s commitment to enforcing discipline and upholding the dignity of Polri in the eyes of the public.

“Enforcement of discipline and the code of ethics is absolute. There is no tolerance for violations, no matter how minor, as they concern public trust in the Polri institution,” he stated firmly.

He urged that this serve as a reminder for all parties to always safeguard the trust and integrity placed in them whilst serving the nation and state.

Throughout 2025, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police have taken firm action against personnel who committed serious violations beyond rehabilitation, with 34 officers receiving dishonourable discharges.

The primary reasons cited were serious ethical code violations, including drug-related offences, desertion, and other criminal acts. The most prominent case occurred in February 2025, when seven members of the Jatanras unit under the Central Sulawesi Regional Criminal Investigation Directorate were dismissed in connection with a case of violence that resulted in the death of a detainee in Palu.
