Donations Flow for YTR, Alleged Victim of Three-Year Confinement in Bandung, as Medical Costs Mount

A fundraising campaign has been launched to cover the substantial medical costs for YTR, a woman from Rancaekek, Bandung, who was allegedly confined and abused for three years. The case has sparked public outrage and a wave of empathy, with attention now focused on the victim’s long road to physical recovery.

An online donation drive titled “Help Y Heal and Get Justice” has been initiated, collecting over IDR 56 million (approximately USD 3,400) from 831 donors so far. The funds are intended to support a series of medical procedures, including reconstructive facial surgery, required for her recovery.

Amid the fundraising efforts, close relatives have shared positive updates on the victim’s condition via social media. A family member noted that her health is gradually improving following an initial operation, with doctors scheduling further plastic surgery to restore facial structure. The family remains hopeful and has encouraged her to stay strong during the long healing process, expressing faith that there is wisdom behind every trial.
