Don Ritto and 8 Suitcases of Evidence in Three Corruption Cases Arrive at AGO

The Indonesian National Police have officially transferred suspect Don Ritto to the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). The handover included the delivery of a significant amount of evidence, comprising eight suitcases containing gold and cash seized during searches.

Ritto arrived at the AGO’s Round Building in South Jakarta on Friday (17/7/2026) at approximately 2:15 PM WIB, escorted by a convoy of Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) vehicles. Wearing an orange detainee uniform and a face mask, he was led inside without making any statements.

The evidence and the suspect are linked to three separate corruption cases involving the coal sector, the social insurance fund for the armed forces (ASABRI), and the state-owned steelmaker Krakatau Steel. These cases were previously handled by the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) and the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate before being transferred to the AGO.

While Don Ritto has been officially detained, the other suspect in the case, former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Ardiansyah, has not yet been taken into custody.
