Dompet Dhuafa continues to demonstrate its commitment to humanitarian action for Palestine by participating in the launch and dispatch of the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0.

The event, attended by 26 humanitarian organisations from Indonesia, took place at Hotel Bidakara in South Jakarta on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 is an international humanitarian mission projected as the largest civil society mobilisation for Palestine. According to Dr Maimon Herawati, Chair of the Global Peace Convoy Indonesia (GPCI 2.0), this mission represents a follow-up to various international civil society efforts that have sought to ease the Gaza blockade through non-violent approaches and global solidarity.

Ahmad Juwaini, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa, expressed appreciation and support for the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 movement, emphasising that Dompet Dhuafa will continue to be consistently involved in various humanitarian movements, particularly those supporting the Palestinian people.

The launch of the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 Nusantara occurs amidst an increasingly concerning humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Local health authorities estimate that more than 72,000 people have died since October 2023, whilst the number of injured exceeds 171,000 during the same period, reflecting the scale of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Through active involvement in GSF 2.0, Dompet Dhuafa, alongside dozens of Indonesian humanitarian organisations, aims to strengthen international moral pressure, consolidate global civil society solidarity, and continue advocating for humanitarian aid and justice for the Palestinian people.

The global sailing of GSF 2.0 is scheduled to commence simultaneously from 12 April 2026. The Nusantara convoy series will begin on 25 April 2026 with significant strengthening of land routes in addition to maritime routes.

In GSF 2.0, Indonesia will play a strategic role through maritime convoys and land convoys. On this mission, the land route will be reinforced with a larger proportion compared to previous efforts.

Indonesia is planned to participate with 100 land convoy trucks and five maritime convoy vessels that will join the global fleet.
