Dompet Dhuafa, together with the Perkumpulan Penyelenggara Jasaboga Indonesia (PPJI), is launching Remember 2026, titled “Prosperous and Blessed Ramadan,” targeting 24 regions across Indonesia.

The initiative covers Jakarta, South Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Surabaya, Malang, Madiun, Yogyakarta, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Bontang in East Kalimantan, Balikpapan, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sumatra, Southeast Sulawesi, Riau, Lampung, Manado, West Nusa Tenggara, Berau, Bandung, West Seram, Ambon, Banten, with a total of 3,814 beneficiaries.

In addition to the 24 regions, Dompet Dhuafa and PPJI are also targeting Aceh and North Sumatra, engaging volunteers from the Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer network and key opinion leaders to help disseminate messages of charitable giving to the wider community.

The programme includes communal breaking of fasts involving orphans, the underprivileged, and families in need in disaster-affected areas. In addition to sharing fellowship during the Ramadan atmosphere, beneficiaries will receive Ramadan food parcels and financial assistance as a sign of support and care.

The Remember celebration in Jakarta, held at Ancol, involves 2,000 orphans and underprivileged individuals, including Quranic memorisation specialists. They are supported by 800 volunteer coordinators who actively contribute to creating a festive atmosphere.

Herdiansah, Deputy Head of Dompet Dhuafa’s Board of Trustees, expressed gratitude for the collaboration in Remember 2026. He also appreciated all collaborators who supported and helped make this annual event a success.

“We are grateful to be able to support PPJI’s activities for the third time. This year we are expanding our collaboration and impact across Indonesia to 24 cities. The number of orphans and underprivileged people we help is growing, and now we are also involving Quranic memorisation specialists,” he stated on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

He stressed that Dompet Dhuafa operates various similar programmes, including during Ramadan 1446 H, such as BerOjol, Grebek Kampung, Ramadan Food Parcels, and Mudik Kalcer, to provide broader benefits to those in need.

In disaster response, Dompet Dhuafa, through its Disaster Management Centre (DMC), distributes emergency assistance including ready-to-eat food distribution, healthcare services, psychosocial support, and provision of basic needs for disaster survivors.

Additionally, Dompet Dhuafa implements recovery programmes by constructing temporary shelters for families who have lost their homes and supporting educational sustainability by improving school facilities in disaster-affected areas.
