Domestic Worker in Bogor Suffers Blood Clot in Ear After Alleged Assault by Employer

Police have disclosed the current condition of a domestic worker identified by the initials FH (21) in Gunung Putri, Bogor, West Java, following alleged physical abuse by her employer, identified as OAP (37). The victim is currently suffering from a blood clot in her ear and requires further medical treatment.

“The victim is now staying at a relative’s home. According to information from her legal counsel, she still needs to have her ear examined by a doctor, as there is reportedly still clotted blood inside her ear,” said Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit at Bogor Police, Inspector Silfi Adi Putri, on Monday (23/2/2026).

Police have examined and detained the suspect. The next step will be to compile the case file and hand it over to prosecutors.

“For the next stage of the investigation, since we have already carried out the detention, we will automatically proceed with compiling the case file and coordinating with the public prosecutor,” she added.

The Suspect’s Defence

Police had previously examined and detained the employer, OAP (37), on suspicion of assaulting her domestic worker, FH (21), in Gunung Putri, Bogor, West Java. The suspect claimed she assaulted the victim because FH did not respond when her child fell.

“Based on the suspect’s statement, it was because her child fell at the time, and the victim, as the child’s caregiver, did not respond, which caused the suspect to become angry and commit the act of violence,” said Inspector Silfi Adi Putri.

A medical examination has been conducted on the victim. The results showed that the injuries sustained were consistent with the victim’s earlier testimony.

“The medical examination results confirm injuries to the head, ears, back and hands, consistent with the victim’s statement,” she explained.

Police have detained OAP for the assault on FH in Gunung Putri, Bogor. The detention was carried out following the completion of the examination.
