Domestic Worker Assaulted by Employer in Bogor, Sustains Injuries to Head and Back

A domestic worker identified by the initials FH (21) is alleged to have been the victim of violence by her employer, identified as OAP (37), in Gunung Putri, Bogor. Police have launched an investigation into the case.

The Head of the Women and Children Protection and Anti-Trafficking Unit (PPA/PPO) at Bogor Police, Assistant Commissioner Silfi Adi Putri, said the assault occurred on 22 January 2026 and was reported to Bogor Police the following day.

“The victim, who is also the complainant, namely FH (21), experienced domestic violence perpetrated by her employer on 22 January 2026,” Silfi told reporters on Thursday (19 February 2026).

“Following the incident, on 23 January 2026, FH, accompanied by her legal counsel, filed a report at Bogor Police,” she added.

Silfi said the suspect OAP assaulted the victim by kicking and hitting her. The victim sustained injuries to her head, hands and back.

“The suspect committed physical violence against the complainant, who is a domestic worker at the suspect’s residence, by means including kicking, pinching and hitting,” Silfi said.

“As for the injuries documented in the medical examination, there are wounds on the head, ears, hands and also on the victim’s back,” she added.

Silfi said the case is still being processed. A crime scene investigation and questioning of the employer have already been conducted.

“We have also carried out a crime scene examination, submitted a seizure request, conducted an expert medical examination, and issued a summons for OAP as a reported suspect,” Silfi said.
