Efforts to process minerals domestically have been continuously promoted in recent years to increase the added value of natural resources, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the national industry. This initiative is implemented through the integration of mining management and processing of commodity mines so as no longer to depend on raw material exports.

MIND ID’s President Director, Maroef Sjamsoeddin, stated that the downstreaming of minerals and coal is a strategic government mandate that aligns with the direction of national industrialisation policy.

“In the past three years, we have continuously strengthened synergies and collaborations among Group Members so that each commodity does not merely stop as raw material, but becomes part of an interconnected industrial supply chain that creates greater added value,” said Maroef in a written statement on Monday, 23 March 2026.

He added that the established integration not only opens up more optimal business potential but also strengthens the domestic industrial ecosystem and reduces dependence on raw material exports.

According to him, this step also encourages the creation of jobs and economic growth in various operational areas, so that the benefits can be felt directly by the community.

“Our greatest strength is not only in the resources managed, but in the unity, solidarity, and synergies built throughout the Group,” said Maroef.

In the future, the development of downstreaming projects will continue to be expanded, including in the electric vehicle battery sector as well as processing bauxite into alumina and aluminium, to strengthen the national industry’s competitiveness on a global level.
