DOKU Partners with Ant International to Expand UMKM Access to Global Markets
JAKARTA – The strategic partnership between DOKU and Ant International is expected to unlock significantly broader opportunities for Indonesian merchants to penetrate international markets through the integration of cross-border payment technology.
This collaboration, which has been in place since 2024, has been strengthened to accelerate innovation in the digital payments and financial technology sectors, whilst driving inclusive growth in the national digital economy.
Chris Yeo, Chief Executive of DOKU, stated that the partnership represents an important milestone for Indonesia’s fintech ecosystem.
“DOKU’s transaction value grew 79 per cent in 2025 compared to the previous year, driven by the superiority of our QR payment solutions and our focus on serving merchants,” he said, according to a press statement released on Friday (27 February 2026).
DOKU will leverage Ant International’s technology ecosystem to support Indonesian businesses in expanding globally through AI-based solutions and payment system access for UMKMs to drive further digital growth.
Conversely, international merchants will gain stronger access to the Indonesian market through DOKU’s local payment methods, including QRIS, virtual accounts, retail outlet payments, and digital wallets, making the transaction experience for Indonesian consumers smoother.
Indonesian merchants will also benefit from more sophisticated multi-currency transaction capabilities to support international commerce.
Additionally, the two companies are exploring opportunities to provide working capital access and modern treasury management solutions for merchants.
The use of generative AI applications through GenAI Cockpit is also expected to improve operational efficiency and enhance the quality of business decision-making.
