DOKU has entered into a partnership with Sabre Indonesia to improve the efficiency of fund management and payments for Sabre’s network of travel agents in Indonesia, amidst the continuous growth of the country’s travel and tourism industry.

Co-Founder and CEO of DOKU, as well as Head of Antom Indonesia, Himelda Renuat, stated that this collaboration continues DOKU’s commitment to driving progress in the travel industry through payment capabilities that are relevant to business dynamics. “The travel industry continues to evolve, as do the business needs within it. We see that payments play an increasingly strategic role in providing space for businesses to move and capture more opportunities,” Himelda said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

She stated that, together with Sabre, the company aims to provide ease of use that helps travel agents run their businesses more adaptably and encourages business growth. According to her, through a deposit system, Sabre Indonesia will eventually be able to manage funds from various partner travel agents more centrally within a single system.

On the other hand, deposit top-up options and credit card facilities provide flexibility for travel agents in managing payments and cash flow according to their respective business cycles. Consequently, transaction processes can become more practical for travel agents in managing their businesses. Through the planned integration of DOKU’s Deposit System, Sabre Indonesia will have more integrated fund management, while travel agents gain more flexible payment choices to support business activities and growth.

This collaboration arrives alongside the ongoing development of the travel and tourism industry in Indonesia. Data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the number of international flight passengers throughout 2025 reached 20.5 million people, an 8.14 per cent growth compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the tourism sector contributed directly to Rp1,138.9 trillion, or 4.78 per cent, to the national economy in 2025. This development also drives the need for transaction infrastructure that is increasingly adaptive to business dynamics throughout the travel industry chain.

Meanwhile, the President Director of Sabre Indonesia, Arsena Permasadhie, stated that the collaboration with DOKU is part of Sabre Indonesia’s business transformation to continuously strengthen service relevance, meet partner needs, and provide added value for the growth of the national travel and tourism industry. “Transformation for us is not just about introducing technology, but about how that technology can further ease partners in running and developing their businesses,” he said.

He added that Sabre has been connecting airlines, hotels, transport providers, and distribution channels through a single ecosystem. The collaboration with DOKU completes this ecosystem from the payment perspective. “As a result, our partners have wider transaction options, a more seamless process, and the opportunity to run their businesses more efficiently,” said Arsena.

According to Arsena, the collaboration also reflects Sabre Indonesia’s commitment to evolving from a mere distribution technology provider into a strategic partner capable of delivering increasingly integrated solutions for the travel industry. “We want every development we undertake to have a real impact on our partners. The easier they can connect, transact, and serve customers, the greater the opportunity for the Indonesian travel ecosystem to grow together,” he added.

Sabre Indonesia is a travel technology company and Global Distribution System (GDS) provider that connects various players in the travel ecosystem, ranging from airlines and hotels to transport service providers, with various distribution channels through a single integrated platform. Through Sabre technology, travel agents can access product availability and pricing in real-time, perform reservations, and issue tickets within one system. This capability helps partners run business processes more efficiently while providing wider travel options to customers.

In Indonesia, Sabre Indonesia has become an important part of the travel distribution ecosystem, serving 670 travel agents and connecting to 420 airlines and other strategic partners.
