Doktif Refuses Peace with Richard Lee
Doctor Samira Farahnaz, alias Doktif (Detective Doctor), has emphasised that she will never withdraw her report against Richard Lee, even though she suffered significant losses from the seizure of her social media account for nine months. For her, the legal process must proceed without compromise.
“Throughout this time, the seizure of Doktif’s account by the South Jakarta Police could be used as bargaining or negotiation to get Doktif to withdraw her report at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters,” said Doktif when met at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
However, Doktif outright rejected such efforts. She stressed that she will not yield, even if it means losing access to her social media account, which has been her primary tool for educating the public.
“Doktif is willing to let it go; actually, yesterday, Doktif’s major account was seized for nearly nine months, go ahead. But now, it’s time for the suspect DRL’s account and YouTube to be seized,” she asserted firmly.
This conflict stems from Doktif’s consistent laboratory testing of various skincare products, including those from Richard Lee’s company. The test results uncovered alleged non-compliance in product content, deemed harmful to consumers.
Unaccepting of this, Richard Lee reported Doktif for alleged defamation at the South Jakarta Metro Police. That report led to the seizure of Doktif’s main account for nine months.
As a counterattack, Doktif reported Richard Lee to Metro Jaya Police Headquarters under provisions related to the Health Law and Consumer Protection. Currently, that report has advanced to the investigation stage, Richard Lee has been named a suspect and is being detained.
Nevertheless, the legal process has not run smoothly. Doktif expressed disappointment because the examination of Richard Lee was delayed due to the suspect’s reluctance to provide a statement.
“Quite disappointed, indeed, but at least you can see Doktif’s attitude towards him; Doktif was very cooperative. But he tried to back out,” said Doktif.
According to Doktif, the refusal is suspected to be a strategy to delay proceedings.
“The examination was scheduled for today, but suspect DRL refused to give a statement because he was not accompanied by his lawyer. So, this might be the strategy used by suspect DRL to delay the examination of himself,” Doktif explained.
She also suspects concern from Richard Lee’s side regarding the potential seizure of his digital assets.
“So, perhaps also fear because there is a high likelihood of seizure of suspect DRL’s account and his YouTube,” Doktif stated.
Despite feeling toyed with, Doktif emphasised that she will not back down even a step.
“Up to this moment, Doktif stresses that the report Doktif made against suspect DRL for the Health Law and Consumer Protection case will never be withdrawn by Doktif,” she asserted again.
Doktif also confirmed receiving information that investigators will proceed with the examination this week, with or without the presence of the suspect’s legal counsel.
For her, this is not merely a personal conflict but a struggle to defend consumers and uphold justice.
