Dofiri States Prabowo Wants to Reform All Institutions, Starting with Polri

Dofiri said that this institutional reform addresses strategic issues, particularly the police as law enforcement apparatus. “Well, that’s why Polri, as the law enforcement apparatus, is important because it is related to that,” he said. Dofiri continued that cultural aspects within Polri also need to be addressed so that members become more professional and humane. Then, improvements must be made in the governance of recruitment, careers, and supervision through digital systems to prevent deviations. “So, viewing the Polri reform must be holistic. Please don’t just talk about the issue of its position, where Polri is placed, no. The biggest one is internal, related to governance,” he said.
