Documents for foreigners

I read with interest your May 26, 1996 reports concerning "How to apply for visa and stay permits" and "Work permits for foreigners issued by several agencies." I am a bit confused, however, on the following issues and would be pleased if you could clarify to avoid any misperceptions.

* In his book Pedoman dasar perseroan terbatas, 1994 (Basic guidelines for limited companies), lawyer IG. Rai Widjaya says "foreigners who have worked for three years consecutively in Indonesia can extend their work permit (IKTA) under the condition they only leave Indonesia under an exit permit (EPO). Your report indicates that a limited stay permit is valid for one year and can be extended five times. Does it mean that the holder can extend his stay permit until five years without having to leave the country? Does it apply to the work permit extension?

Your report only covers a visa, stay permit and work permit. Are these the only documents required for foreigners working in Indonesia? or do they need other documents?

Your assistance will be highly appreciated.
