Doctor's murder investigated

JAKARTA (JP): Chief of the West Jakarta police precinct Lt.
Col. I Made Pastika yesterday said that he has set up a team to
investigate the death of a doctor at the Hero Green Garden
supermarket in Kedoya, West Jakarta.

The doctor, named Irianto, 27, was fatally stabbed in the back
and neck on Friday in a supermarket's toilet.

After the incident the victim's wristwatch and wallet were
missing, which has led the police to believe that the doctor was
killed by a gang of robbers.

Police have already questioned a number of people, including
the supermarket security officers, but they are still in the dark
as to who killed the doctor. "The case is still being
investigated by the newly-founded team," Pastika said.

Meanwhile City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Bambang Haryoko urged
anyone who has information on the murder to contact the police.
