Tifauziah Tyassuma (Doctor Tifa), a suspect in an alleged defamation case concerning the authenticity of former President Joko Widodo’s diploma, has withdrawn her pretrial motion related to her search and arrest by Polda Metro Jaya investigators at the South Jakarta District Court. “We decided to withdraw the pretrial application,” Tifa told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday. She stated the decision was made after she was granted a suspension of detention and will not be detained during the legal process. “We had submitted the pretrial application. This is in light of developments where it was decided on 21 June 2026 that I would not be detained during the trial process,” she said. According to her, she and Roy Suryo had prepared their respective legal steps from the beginning, although they continue to coordinate in facing the case. The handling of her case and Roy Suryo’s has been split, requiring each to prepare their own legal team and strategy. “Our cases are split. Mas Roy Suryo’s is number 300, mine is number 301,” she said. Consequently, each party has a different legal support team in facing the ongoing legal process. “This means we indeed must have our own team and our own strategy. But we continue to synergise,” said Doctor Tifa.
