Doctor Tifa Files Another Pre-trial Motion at South Jakarta District Court
Tifauziah Tyassuma, known as Doctor Tifa, a defendant in the case concerning allegations of a fake diploma belonging to Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), has filed another pretrial motion at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday, 13 August 2026.
According to the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) of the South Jakarta District Court, the motion is registered under case number 147/Pid.Pra/2026/PN JKT.SEL.
“Case classification: the legality of the termination of prosecution,” as quoted from the SIPP page of the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (20/8).
The respondent in this motion is the Attorney General’s Office cq the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office cq the Head of the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office.
In its petition, the applicant requests the judge to declare that the respondent’s act of prosecuting the applicant based on the Indictment with Case Register Number PDM-171/M.1.14/Eoh.2/07/2026 dated 27 July 2026, insofar as it applies Article 32 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 48 paragraph (1) and Article 35 in conjunction with Article 51 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law without identifying the electronic object and without an adequate description of the material act and specific purpose, constitutes an unlawful act.
The applicant also requests the panel of judges to declare that the application of intertemporal law in the indictment is not careful. Furthermore, to declare that the Indictment with Case Register Number PDM-171/M.1.14/Eoh.2/07/2026 dated 27 July 2026 has no binding legal force against the applicant.
“Order the respondent to stop the prosecution of the applicant based on the construction of Article 32 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 48 paragraph (1) and Article 35 in conjunction with Article 51 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law as stated in the indictment,” the petition states.
“Declare that based on Article 163 paragraph (1) letter e of Law Number 20 of 2025, as long as the examination of this pretrial motion has not been completed, the examination of the main case Number 354/Pid.B/2026/PN Jkt Tim cannot be held,” it continues.
The Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Halida Rahardhini, said that the first hearing of the pretrial motion filed by Tifa will be held on Friday, 28 August. The hearing will be presided over by single judge Sulistyo Muhamad Dwi Putro.
“First hearing, the hearing date is Friday, 28 August 2026,” said Halida when contacted on Thursday.
Previously, Doctor Tifa had also filed a pretrial motion at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday, 3 August 2026.
