Do not protect
Do not protect terrorists
From Koran Tempo
The Bali bomb blast investigation team has again officially made public the pictures and sketches of six suspects in the Oct. 12 blasts. Previously, it made public the sketches of four suspects in the same case.
The sketches have been based on the latest photographs of the persons concerned and also on the information of witnesses who have seen them.
Obviously, these pictures and sketches are not the result of some kind of engineering as the team, in cooperation with international investigators, has worked in conformity with the standard procedures that prevail nationally and internationally.
These pictures and sketches have been made public so that members of the community, who happen to come across any of them or who know of their whereabouts, may contact the police. Also, the investigation team would like to convince the public that it has worked hard to uncover the network of terrorists involved in the Bali bomb blast.
Strangely enough, some people have responded by making their own theories although they do not have hard and accurate evidence. In their analyses they refute the police results, therefore confusing the public and, in a way, "protecting the terrorists" instead.
The public should bear in mind that the bomb blast in Bali is a major case with international repercussions. Thus, it stands to logic that it cannot be solved instantly.
In this context, the public must help the police by refraining from making theories which are not based on facts.
