DKJ Urges Public to Exercise Caution When Purchasing 'Orchestra Experience' Tickets
The Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ) is urging citizens to be cautious when intending to purchase tickets for the ‘Orchestra Experience’ event. The DKJ stated that this advisory was issued due to various pieces of information circulating regarding the event’s organisation.
The warning was conveyed by the DKJ via letter number 01.001/DKJ-KTm/X/2026, dated 4 October 2026. The letter was signed by the Chairman of the DKJ Music Committee, Muhammad Taufik.
“In relation to information regarding the organisation of the ‘Orchestra Experience’ event, we are issuing an advisory to the public and all interested parties to be careful and to reconsider their participation or the purchase of tickets for said event,” stated the contents of the DKJ letter, which was observed on social media on Monday (5/10/2026).
The DKJ provided several recommendations to the public to avoid potential losses. Firstly, the public is advised not to make any payments before obtaining clear and verifiable information regarding the event organisers.
“Secondly, the public is requested to ensure the identity, legality, location, schedule, and the parties involved in the organisation of the event,” the council stated.
Thirdly, the DKJ reminded the public not to disseminate promotional information that cannot be verified for accuracy. Fourthly, the DKJ requested that the public be careful when providing personal data or payment information to parties claiming to represent the event organisers.
Fifthly, the DKJ urged the public to conduct verification through official sources before deciding to purchase tickets or participate in the event. The DKJ noted that this announcement is a form of advisory and not a statement that the organisers have been proven to have committed fraud.

As background, several citizens have complained about alleged discrepancies between the promotions and the actual execution of the Orchestra Experience. One social media account uploaded footage of the Orchestra Experience which was deemed inconsistent with the promises made in the promotions.
Furthermore, the police have received reports regarding alleged fraud involving the Orchestra Experience. The performance was promised to be held on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at BSD ICE, Tangerang, but was abruptly cancelled on the day of the event.
