Jakarta (ANTARA) - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has asked the Environmental Agency and the Assistant for Development of DKI Jakarta to immediately follow up on the construction of the Waste-to-Energy Power Plant (PLTSa).
“The next stage is to determine the contractor, and then when it can start immediately. I have directly called the Head of the Environmental Agency and the Assistant for Development to follow it up immediately,” said Pramono in East Jakarta on Tuesday.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS) stated that Jakarta’s economy grew by 5.59 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the first quarter of 2025, supported by the wholesale trade, retail trade, and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles business sector.
“The wholesale and retail trade business sector provided the largest contribution to DKI Jakarta’s economy, becoming the highest source of growth with a contribution of 1.06 percent,” said the Head of BPS DKI Jakarta, Kadarmanto, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) recorded that there are 115 Neighbourhood Units (RT) scattered across West, East, and South Jakarta that are still flooded with heights ranging from 15 centimetres (cm) to 2.4 metres.
“The cause is high rainfall that resulted in the Krukut River, Grogol Mampang River, Angke River, Pesanggrahan River, Keuangan River, Mampang River, and Ciliwung River overflowing, thus submerging residents’ settlements,” said the Acting Head of BPBD DKI, Marulitua Sijabat, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
