Jakarta — Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo has invited all residents to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah by remaining in Jakarta rather than returning to their hometowns. The campaign, themed “Mudik ke Jakarta” (Journey to Jakarta), offers free transportation and shopping discounts to encourage residents to spend the holiday in the city. “We are inviting everyone to celebrate Eid in Jakarta,” Pramono said.
